Development[]

Characters[]

Due to the change of different animation graphics, the Dead Fantasy characters appear much more realistic with facial expressions. Yuna and Rikku now appears in their original appearances in Final Fantasy X-2 except for Yuna's long red braid and her silver pendant while Rikku's appearance had her skin became tan and her scarf and color scheme of her warmers is based on her appearance in Kingdom Hearts II. Tifa's main appearance is based on her first alternate costume in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT within her attire in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and her ribbon is now red instead of pink much like the red band on the original and her black gloves is replaced by her red fingerless gloves from her original appearance in Final Fantasy VII. Rinoa's overall appearance is her playable appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT but the black gun holster is replaced by a brown belt with a silver lion buckle and matching cross-lined belts, which were worn by Squall Leonhart in his Dissidia appearance, to house her gunblade. She gains her black ribbon. Her large angel wings are more realistic, resembling her Angel Wing state from her Dissidia NT appearance.. Kairi from Kingdom Hearts series had changed her main appearance in the remake from her main appearance in Kingdom Hearts II to her main appearance in Kingdom Hearts III.

For the Dead or Alive characters, Kasumi, Ayane, Hitomi are based in their Dead or Alive 5 appearances but Ayane's main outfit is her primary outfit from Dead or Alive 4 while Hitomi's main outfit is her second costume from Dead or Alive 5. Rachel's appearance in the remake is both her playable appearance in Dead or Alive 5 and her current DLC appearance in Dead or Alive 6. The Dead or Alive characters' age is from their age in Dead or Alive 5 through Dead or Alive 6 to match up the Final Fantasy characters' current age.

The fight scenes have minor changes, The energy blasters from Yuna's Tiny Bee pistols are now shown to form projectiles during execution while Kasumi's Sakura Parry teleportation has a pink-hued shadow during execution instead of being covered by cherry blossom petals but the petals are literally seen when she attacks her opponents and the power of her ninpo are shown in different shades of pink. Ayane's Tokkosho has a purple flaming hue when she attacks her opponents, but it retains it's explosive properties. Also, her ninpo explosions are also shown in shades of purple or purple embedded with light blue or indigo. Hitomi's immense physical strength and her fighting style have been enhanced to make her a high-tier fighter. Tifa's Materia on both her arms and legs are now glowing translucent in color once it was activated when she is ready to fight the Dead or Alive girls.

Voices[]

In Dead Fantasy 2020 being released by sWooZie, Uiyahan uses the current voice clips for the Dead or Alive cast within their game appearances in both Dead or Alive 5 and Dead or Alive 6 as well as the original voice clips for the Final Fantasy cast to match up with the Dead or Alive cast. However in Uiyahan's official release of the remake version of the series, he uses all of their voice clips being used by Oum.
